I'll say this...at least the left is starting to be a LITTLE more intellectually honest about what they are really trying to accomplish. I trust that middle America will be disagree with their agenda.

I don't think that intellectual honesty is their motivation. More like a desire that rhetoric that was once shocking becomes mainstream.

I agree. They used to tip-toe around their obvious agenda because they could read the tea leaves and knew that even hinting at things like confiscation would guarantee a loss. It still will, at a national level. But for people who are hoping to bolster their chances at a local elected office later (or an appointment from President Warren to be the undersecretary of commerce for wine and spirit importation, requiring lots of travel to Bordeaux), over-reaching on this is feature, not a bug.

Weapons of war are basically what the 2A was intended to cover.

She thinks there are 2 million “assault weapons” in the US??

    Guess again, biotch.

Basis of estimate from an article published in 2012.

In 2009 Heller v. DC, Mark Overstreet reported that, from 1986 to 2007, at least 1.6M AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles were produced and not exported from the United States. Overstreet suggested that you could use NICS trends to project future sales of AR-15s. From 2007 - 2012, the total number of NICS background checks increased by >50%. If the number of AR-15 rifles proportionately followed, then there were at least 2.5 AR-15 rifles available at the end of 2012.

U.S.-made firearms have accounted for roughly three-fourths of all new firearms available on the commercial market in the United States. So if you increase the above number to account for foreign-made, AR-15-style rifles, you get about 3.3M total AR-15s (again in 2012).

Sales and popularity of ARs have only increased since that time. Following the same trend line (which I think is conservative), my extrapolation puts the number of AR variants somewhere around the 5M mark for US made, and 6.25M total (and that's not even counting the 80% solution). And that is JUST ARs. If you want to talk about other "assault rifles", you are going to have somewhat smaller, but still substantial numbers for AK variants, plus all of the other semi-auto, magazine fed, centerfire rifle that they would likely lump into this category. Heck there are almost a million Mini-14s alone out there.

The number that would keep Kamala up at night for all of those evil weapons of war is honestly probably over 11M (figure about 3% of the total guns in the US)… and climbing.

Now, if you want to know a closer number to the reality of how many TRUE assault weapons there are in the US (not under government control). The 2016 ATF numbers for Class III are:

    Pre 86 (transferables): 175,977
Sales Samples (pre May keepers): 17,020
    Restricted 922(o) (post-86): 297,667

So just under half a million.

I heard an interesting take on Beta Male and the rest of the Trotskyites Democratic front runners last night. That with the NRA become less effective to unite firearms owners and others who believe in the right to defend themselves due to their internal problems, these useless idiots are filling the gap.

    Keep up the good work.

    Very astute observation. Mask off.

The NSSF puts the number of AR and AR variants @ around 16 million.

Actually, she sucked Willie Brown's dick to get to where she is today. Look up who Willie Brown is and you won't be surprised how such a low life scum like Kameltoe Harris got to the Senate.

I think 11 million is pretty low.

I genuinely feel sorry for any woman who is successful and gets accused of sleeping her way to the top. But in Heels-Up Harris' case, it's true.

So now that Biden has come up with his anti-gun platform, we have three Democrat (Socialist) candidates who have openly called for "buy-backs"/confiscation of modern sporting rifles. I fear that this snowball is picking up speed and adding more flakes as it rolls downhill.
