Let them do it. Let this case go to SCOTUS so they can rule that the 2A does not protect hunters, it protects individual firearm ownership for protection of home/hearth, and the last line of defense against tyranny.

We told them the gun grabbing libs want all firearms...not just 'assault weapons' and high capacity magazines...maybe now they'll start paying attention.

They are not banning hunting directly, they are banning the use of lead in ammunition. The "defacto ban on hunting" is the angle presented by a republican in opposition to the bill. It's insinuated that ammo that does not contain a lead core is armor piercing, and banned, although there is a list of materials that a core can't be constructed of for handguns, there are some non-lead bullets available, although there are only a tiny number of expensive bullet designs that donot contain lead, and are not considered AP. The interesting part with a case would to extend the "in common use" definition of Heller to ammo, not just firearms. If there isn't a fight on this, expect the stupidity to spread.

"SB1221 banned hunting with hounds for bears and bobcats and since its implementation California has faced an overpopulation of bears. Things have gotten so bad that the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife has had to ask hunters to help take down bears at various times during the last year. "

The hunters should tell the State to get the bears themselves

Yea banning lead ammo is not banning hunting. We havent been able to hunt with lead ammo in MD for years. Suprising isnt it.
