Okay, I guess I was asleep when I took that photo yesterday. That is my Type 99. :sad20: The photo here is the Type 2.

This one is not stamped. I still need to remove it and look for a proof mark though. This one does have a lot of wear, so if not original, it at least has been with the rifle for a long time.

Does look like it has some wear to it, could be an original. Here is what my proofed but unnumbered cover looks like

    Here's the Paratrooper dust cover:

No stampings at all on this one.

Here's the stamping on my Type 99 that I mentioned earlier:

The Type 99 one matches the bolt but not the rifle. They both look used and older, but not abused. Not sure if the Type 2 is original, but I would tend to thing the Type 99 is. Neither of them have any arsenal proofs. Oh well.

At the very least I would say the T99 cover is original. The font on the numbers looks good and it's in the right spot, plus I don't think I've really ever seen a repro cover that was numbered. The T2 cover looks like it has the age, most repro covers are very easy to spot right off the bat but yours does look like it's been around the block. Could easily be an original cover that for one reason or another just never got a number or any type of proof.
