My father has a single shot Ithaca m49 that he bought sometime in the early 70's. his 60th birthday is coming up and I would like to get the gun back in running order for him. Anybody have any idea where I could pick up some parts for it, or have any experience with them?

The gun needs a good cleaning, a new forearm, forearm band, and front sight. I haven't had it apart yet. I know the gun fires, but doesn't eject most of the time.

I think it would be a cool project and a nice surprise for him. I know there's virtually no monetary value to the gun, but it's not about that.

    Any help would be appreciated.
