Nice rifle. Is this round also considered a 308? I've shot a saiga 308 and this round looks very similar to the one in this video. Long story short I didnt enjoy it as much because it was a bit brutal.

Have one built to take M14 mags and you're good. One of my friends in MD did that with a BM59E parts kit.

You could pick up a Garand from the CMP and have Shuff mag feed it. He will also shorten it, he calls it a Mini-G.

The Happy Switch is a great thing, I spent some time behind a BM-59 with one a few years ago and really liked it! also got to run 250 rounds thru a GE Mini gun. push trigger down, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Done !
