Shortly, Towson University will be advertising for an IT Support specialist.

Requirements are HS degree and 3 years supporting IT and 2 years in IT w/ customer service.

The vacancy is expected to be listed this coming week.

Pay should be approx 42-43k.

They have to put that on all the jobs since the state enacted a hiring freeze. I believe the exemption to allow the hire lasts only for a certain time frame.

I will say in my personal experience, the pay is higher than a lot of comparables.

We are getting a 4 day work week in September, but all work is done on-site at the university.

Naw, I talked to a few other positions, same tasks, they couldn't' get near 40k.

It seemed to be more than fair to me, for the experience they're posting.

For long-timers, though... yeah, it sure looks low.
