Does the frog/hook look brass or is it parkerized? I think about 1938 is when they went to steel. The short loop looks like its from a different sling, what even more interesting is the number of holes in the short loop. is that two sets making four vs. a higher number. One keeper having a staple with stitches and less holes in the short side could be indicative of a USMC sling. Thicker leather also a trait, the leather looks newer there including the keepers, but at least their stitched. Looks like $10 shipping and 4% for CC plus starting bid, could be a good one I don't know, home work in order on this one. Good luck!
