It's a Russian Capture, a dip-blued mixmaster. The good thing is you can shoot hell out of it without feeling guilty, because it has virtually no collector value.
For just a bit more, you can get something better, that will have some potential to appreciate.
Of course, that's exactly what they said about the RC Mausers three years ago, when they were $250. You know, the ones that go for $500 now.
For a shooter, a good alternative to consider is a post-war P1. They were a bit cheaper than the RCs, and probably in better shape, matching, original finish, etc.
The extravagant over-$320 (using the standard price for forced/nonmatching/reblued/sh*t P38s) price comes from Widener's believing that waffenamt stamps that haven't been ground/peened out means high-profile prices.
Which means f**k-all. They may seem like a good deal, but they're not.
