Been spending the last year trolling the planet for a nice German occupation built FN Model 1922, preferably with plastic grips (never did take a shine to the wood grips). I'm a picky ba*tard and the right example hadn't crossed my path until last week. Logged onto Gun Broker to do my usual search when I found the perfect rig and with a very fair $400 BIN. Got lucky in that it had only been uploaded to GB 4 hrs before I found it. Rather be lucky than good!
Fedex dropped it off today and it's as nice as the listing, maybe better. The Luftwaffe issued holster is in excellent condition and the pistol only has wear around the muzzle (hard to find a M1922 w.o. some muzzle wear). The SN puts it as a 2nd sub variant pistol ("B" block), built in the first half of 1944 with the correct synthetic grips.
Scratch one more off the C & R bucket list!

The world does seem upside down these days, doesn't it?

If buttercups buzz'd after the bee
If boats were on land, churches on sea
If ponies rode men and if grass ate the cows
And cats should be chased into holes by the mouse
If the mamas sold their babies
To the Gypsies for half a crown
    If summer were spring
    And the other way 'round
Then all the world would be upside down!

Really outstanding, I've had no luck at all lately with GunBroker, glad someone is.

GB is a crappy place to look for firearms that lots of people are familiar with, and those that are less popular can be listed for great prices, or absurd prices (look at Argentine Sistemas now ... insanity!). Still, you can come across a good buy if you look long enough.

Indeed! Only took me a year of trolling GB, Auction Arms, Proxibid, Armslist, etc.
Found a decent example at a CA gunshop but when I called to inquire if they'd be willing to take my 03 and ship to me they were less than enthusiastic. Their loss, my gain as I got a much nicer example for a much better price when you factor in the holster's value (an easy $150).
