    Where they send me.
So, bought a new factory SIG threaded 220 barrel to go into a new SIG 220.

It doesn't fit, after 2.5hrs of stoning it I still can't get it to fit.

So, I have to pay a smith to put a $200 FACTORY barrel into their pistol?!?!?!
I don't have the time nor money for that.

I used to really like SIG but this broke it off for me. This is 2013 and it's FACTORY parts going into a new pistol. If they can't get their act together and stop wasting time having 12yr olds paint flames onto their pistols I want nothing to do with them.

I can swap Beretta barrels at will, even between calibers, same with Glock. However, SIG can't keep their production tolerances even close.

Sad. No more SIGS for me and I have been a fan for 20+ years.

Did you try contacting sig about a replacement? I love my p226 and i put an aftermarket threaded barrel into my pos mosquito without any issue.

No, didn't contact them. I'll take it to my smith to fit it. Don't want to waste more time with SIG on this. Shipping the pistol to them would cost almost as much as my smith will charge. Don't want to give them another dime now.

Should not be that much hassle for a $200 part from them to fit their pistol.

    It's not like it's a hand made/fit .45.

Sig was extra helpful with the problem I had with my 522 and had me out all new parts within a week or so. Give their service line a call

Every Sig replacement barrel I've ever looked at online has been noted "some fitting may be required." Not saying it isn't a little ridiculous in 2013, but you might be overreacting a little out of frustration. At least give SIG a call and see what they have to say.

In any case, sorry you're having such a hard time with your swap.

Yes, I am frustrated and ranting some. Bummed that a $200 barrel and a chunk of Labor Day burned and I still have a barrel that doesn't fit into the pistol it was designed to fit into. So now, more $$ or hassle to make it right. Just not what I expect from a top tier weapon maker.

So you knew it could need fitting?

They say it might need fitting.

You refuse to call them to fix the problem.

    But yet Screw Sig?

I'm on board...what's your next buy a Glock?

I hate all U.S. made SIGs.

HK, Beretta, Glock, S&W, and CZ Factory Barrels generally drop in and if any fitting is needed its very minor.

The factory Sig threaded barrel I bought for my P226 Elite dropped right in and has been flawless for thousands of suppressed and unsuppressed rounds.
