Most accurate revolver I've ever owned, bar none, is a S&W Model 29 with a 6" barrel. A close second is/was the 586 in the same barrel-length. Python was always a beautiful gun to look at but, the grips were slightly on the large-side for my hands.

My next revolver will be a 29

Python, without a doubt! 629 a close second.

Or a 629. Never shot a Python yet.

Spend a little more and get a S&W TRR8. It comes from their performance shop, and it is awsome. It is a 5" 8 shot .357 mag.
Sounds awesome! Maybe later down the road. For now, I will diversify. And since I now own a 357, I feel compelled to get the next one on my bucket list. Dirty Harrys proud piece.

Own both an older 586 and GP 100 both with 4" barrels. The trigger on the 586 is better but for the money you can't go wrong with a GP 100. Saying a 686 is the finest ever just means the writer likes SS as that is the only difference in that and a 586(blue). For Smith a 6 prefix indicates SS. The Ruger is built like a tank but it is a major operation to remove the cylinder to clean. The Smith involves 1 screw.

So many choices!! Why settle for one?!?!?!?!?!:D

    S&W mdl 19-4. (Got one!)
    S&W mdl 27-2.
    S&W mdl 625JM.
    S&W mdl 686 or 586.

Dan Wesson mdl 44VH-8 w/ 4" barrel assembly. (Got one!)

All of the S&W revolvers are WITHOUT that _ _ _ _ed lock, btw!

Fits in my pocket. Weighs nothing. Shoots .357 Magnum, and mine (till I lost it in the bay) had a laser sight grip.

While there are others I like, I'd have to go with my 4" model 27.

Having only ONE revolver? That's just downright depressing!

SW Model 57.....no make that a Model 25.....

    No wait..... Model 19.....no Model 13.....no a Model 586......

    I'll go with a 57.

^^^ I have one of those Rug GP100 with a 6" barrel in the stainless steel finish. I enjoy shooting it, best thing is I can run 38 spec in it to save a few bucks and then swap over to 357 Mag for a bigger boom! :)
