Well after visiting canuck down at the AAFG range I am starting to do some research on IDPA. It looks like a lot of fun. I have a few pistols and I am trying to decide which one I should use. I really, really like my Sig P225 but the capacity is only 8 rounds and I only have 2 mags. I like my P30 and my USP 40 as well. Those are the three I am considering. I also have a Glock 21 SF, Sig P220 and a Glock 26 is on the way.
Another thing I am concerned about is my lack of training/skill. I go to Hap Baker a lot where they will not permit rapid fire, AT ALL. I am not that great of a pistol shooter anyway, average at best (I don't have a lot of time to practice going to school full time and working full time). Anything I can do to train/practice without being able to rapid fire? What other skills are useful (drawing out of a holster, fast reloading, etc.)?
