I was in Giant today in my MDS shirt and a lady came up to me and asked if that was my MSI, SAF,MDS,Tea Party mobile. I said yes and she thanked me. I thanked her for appreciating it.

i love laplata too, but their is this terrible wave moving south it all started in d.c. a long time ago and ruined everything in its path. it started first with PG, then went into waldorf and looks to be entering la plata.

Every time I am in Laplata I think that this is Waldorf ten years ago. The wave is like a lava flow, it moves slow but it does not stop. When I lived in Berry Hill Manor on Bennsville Rd, I would go to the "new" Walmart in Laplata because it was so much cleaner and better organized. It seems the shoppers from the Waldorf store are there today. How far do you move? Your butts will be hugging the river soon.

Waldorf has become what Clinton was 20 years ago.
LaPlata has become what Waldorf was 20 years ago.

I have lived in Charles County since 1980 and Waldorf was nice back then but I despise going there these days. My daughter was assaulted and robbed inside the St Charles Town Center 2 years ago and now I won't even let my wife or daughters go to the mall without an escort. The place is crawling with hoodrats.

We now live in Dentsville, however my wife and I have been talking about when our youngest son graduates from LaPlata HS, we are moving across the Potomac River to Virginia. Maybe we can make a stand and hold them off at the river?

:wtf: Have you looked around Bryans Road at all? The f'ing shopping center looks more like SE than anything else. It's been almost a year since I stopped going to the Safeway, Food Lion, etc. Last weekend, I popped into Portside for a 12 pack, next time I won't.

Locusts have the same effect, destroy everything they touch and leave nothing good behind.

With any luck, the Super Walmart in Dahlgren will attract the hordes across the bridge. After all, the King George area must be nicer to live in, so many people pass through LaPlata and Bryans Road on their way to/from work.

    :lol2:

    Guilty as charged!

I will NOT go into the Wally World in Waldorf. . . . and it's less than 5 minutes from my house!:D

The store in Waldorf is FILTHY. That is no stretch of the truth, either.
Besides, the Waldorf store doesn't carry guns/ammo, and there's no place to park. I might as well walk from home. Sheeeeeesh.

West side of Chuck County is traveling down a path of no return. Its a dead end road to a Navy Base that has been shrinking since the 80's. As the Base goes so goes Indian Head. Sad...it was a nice town when I was growing up, just had a comfortable feel. Soon the only thing left will be Woodland Village.
Have fond memories of Bryans Road..before the Shopping Center. Fishing in the creek, and hunting the acres and acres of woods. Killed many a tree rat, and my first deer their.
The Section 8 Housing development changed everything in Bryans Road. Not for the better either.
    Its moving South.
