Hi guys, new here, and I've applied on Dec 1 and DHMH was checked on Dec 2. Nothing else but I did send them a email asking how long does it take. They should post a required timeline that it has to be done like "within 30 days". They have a link of the law but nothing on how long it takes..

Yes, they have 30 days to complete it.

I submitted mine about a week ago and nothing has moved. I did receive a letter today from I believe the department of corrections saying my fingerprint criminal check was complete but the website checklist has not been updated. What a joke!

Looks like samharrison1981 may be onto something.

I applied 11/19, DHMH was completed 11/20, everything else was Incomplete until today when the Checklist disappeared and my license went active 12/8. Now just waiting for the card!

Submitted HQL license application on 11/20/2015 and it was approved today 12/8/2015. Just got to wait for the card.

Finally got the card on Saturday 12/12. Took the whole month....

I can't believe mine is still taking this freaking long I figured a week tops. It never ends with MSP and their wait times. I wanna get my HQL so I can fill out my MSP paperwork on a new gun and hurry up and wait 7 more days

My concern is that my METERS and NICS are incomplete. What is your experience with this?

Not sure but NICS is basically a phone call they need to make. I think the I stands for instant. It's basically the MSP not being in a hurry to take care of these and it gets under staffed.

How long can it possibly take to perform two "instant" checks? Anyone have an approximate time frame for theirs?

I went through this process last February seems like same conversations. took 35 days from Appling to physically holding card. 29 days for approval. the wait is aggravating.

My HQL is finally active! So the question is, can I go and apply to purchase a handgun and just go in when I physically receive my card?
