How many mags?

I used to joke that's what the $99 Mosins were for... until they more than quadrupled in value. Now it would be cheaper to pass out budget ARs.

I never knew Israel had such tough gun control. Of all places on earth, when your neighbors all want you exterminated i would have thought the whole population was armed to the teeth. Shows what can happen when they aren't.

Not including C&R's they are their own thing and have each of their own quirks for this.

Handgun: Semi-Auto (at least 6-10, 3 for carry, 3 for range, and/or 3-4 more to augment range mags), Revolver (determine need for speedloaders and how many, I like three minimum if you intend to carry or hunt with it.)

Rifle: hunting rifle (2 or 3, just to have spares), AR-15/AK/Mini-14/FAL, ETC (I like minimum 10)

Shotgun: tube fed mainly, so concern oneself with ammo for gun

I don’t know if there is one fast rule. It depends on your situation.

But, I asked one wise MDS member once and he asked me a question back “How much money do you have?” :-).

From my experience, some pistol competitions require at least 3 for the match so if you shoot in such competitions, you may want to at least double that in ownership for your match pistols.

For older and maybe discontinued guns, with their corresponding magazines being probably more rare, I like to have what I can get my hands on. I was at a show recently and found some older discontinued magazines that I needed. I said, I’ll take all that you have.

I have 2-4 per gun. I have about 15 ar mags but have 2 ars and magazines can be shared. Don’t know why bought so many… maybe they were $10??? Last magazine I bought was for my 365 macro x @$45 OEM. At the gun show. $45 in my book is expensive so probably won’t get any more.

I just picked up 10 more Pmags I already had a a few. I basically gonna grab 5-10 everytime I hit the range now just because.
