R.I.P.
I deer hunt with a Remington 30'06 (740?) and I have 2 mags. One lives in the hunting coat all season long.
Hmm - I only have one mag for my Savage 10 - guess I better get with the program.
Center-feed (4.40" spacing) or stagger-feed (4.25" spacing)?
I have an extra stagger-feed box, spring and follower sitting around. And I may be parting ways with a B&C A5 stock in the near future (4.40" spacing center-feed).
Don't know - how can I tell?
[Edit] It has the plastic front latch.
The 2 screws in the bottom of the stock (those are the action screws, holds the barreled action to the stock), measure the distance between them.
4.40" would be a center-feed magazine style, 4.25" would be the older stagger-feed magazine style.
You already have a drop/detachable magazine? 10 series should be an internal (blind) magazine.
This is it, and the rifle below.
The 10rnd mags for my Savage 11 Scout are stupid expensive ($70), and that's when you can find them. Must be nice making 600% profit on a piece of stamped metal. That said, I only have 4.
.. Just think, the first crew operated bolt action rifle!
