How Long Did Your HQL Approval Take?

So the waiting game begins. I applied for my HQL on 8/2 and my Wear & Carry permit on 8/3. Any thoughts on whether a DUI/DWI would prevent someone from getting either approved?

OK, thanks for the info. I failed to disclose because it was so long ago. Hopefully, that does have an impact. My charges were dismissed. I received a nolle prosequi.

I must have pissed someone off, because I submitted early on 7/15, hah!

They may have had an influx of applications on that day… it seems like the wait is getting progressively longer- applications that were around the first week of July were getting approved in14-16 days. Seems like we are up to 20-25 days now

I agree, it's a very good possibility this is the case. On a positive note, everything was completed over the weekend except NICS and "Secondary Review Complete", so I'm hopeful I'll see my approval early this week.

I hope I can get mine soon of course I’m still waiting but my app still says pending so I hope the trooper is waiting for expungement to go thru before they just DENY me all together NICS Med marijuana an case search still unchecked tho

Based on previous posts, it appears the approval/denial process is taking approximately 3 weeks. Is that a realistic timeframe?

Yea they have 30 days to process and send HQL…20 to process an 7-10 to email HQL

That's probably a good timeframe. I also remember in the session with Sgt Pickle, he said he expected HQLs to take around 20-21 days. I put my HQL in on 7/16, and still waiting.

Look at calendar an count 3 wks from submission date dats when approval should come or at least movement on application

You’ll hear something this week sometime since u submitted on a Saturday probably Wednesday
