Finally received the ( new to me) Sierra #6 reloading manual, I found the type very much the same, except the print seems smaller. I was disappointed the one round I was looking for information on (450 B) seemed very vague. I am appealing to shooters, I find this cartridge quite brutal and would be looking to tame the beast down to say 1700 FPS with 230 JHP's. Any one lighten the powder charges to achieve this with safe pressure signs?

Hodgon reloading data center has 450B load data that might meet your needs. Seems like imr4227 starting loads with a 225 grain bullet would be the closest thing to what you're looking for.
