Heroin Interrupts Dinner at Daniels Tonight

Missus Stove and I decided to head down to Daniels for dinner this evening and right about the time we were finished the sirens and lights were right outside.

Turns out a guy and another couple were heading south on Rt 1 just under 195 when the driver nods off. The guy of the other couple grabs the wheel and uses the emergency brake to guide the car into the motorcycle parking spots out front of Daniels.

Passenger gets out, goes around to open the driver's door and the driver rolls out onto the parking lot, turns out he OD'd. HoCo EMTs bring him back with Narcan.

The ambulance was blocking the rear parking so we're stuck there until they leave. We order another drink and chat with the couple next to us for a while.

Narcan....the savior of idiots! Just a thinning of the herd. Glad the passenger was able to bring the car under control or the outcome could have been a lot worse...to include you and other customers.

On another note, I’m adding that place to the list of restaurants that i’ll eat at. I’m guessing if your eating there the kitchen is clean

LOL! One and the same. We actually showed that video to the couple we were chatting with (they're regulars as well) while we were waiting for the ambulance and PoPo to clear out.

We actually put their kitchen in when they expanded and remodeled so yes, it get's two Stoves up.

I was getting the story from the passenger who is just out of the picture with the car when the male cop came up to him and asked for an ID. Passenger told him he didn't have an ID but did have a credit card.

Cop says "I'll take anything I can get at this point."

Technically yes, but not your traditional biker bar. Not frequented by the 1%ers, more like the Average Joes.

I haven't been there in years. A buddy of mine stopped there one time and ask the older Miss Daniels, "Do you ever have any problems with the bikers out front and have to call the police?"

She said "No, most of them are police."

Truth, the Old Bay wings are fantastic.


No scoots in the front parking lot last night fortunately. I think the front blowing in around dinner time kept somebody's Hog from an insurance claim. On a reasonably nice evening that front lot would have been full up.
