Like you, I had autos only. Last year, I got a S&W 442. Internal hammer, great grip, and it fires the .38+P round which packs a serious wallop (especially in hollow point). It carries well in the pocket without a holster, but a pocket holster obscures the outline and makes for a smoother draw. There's a reason they call it an Airweight: you won't know it's there. Can't go wrong.
