Most sites I have checked is saying we are getting 60-70MPH winds with this storm and possibly hail. (around rush hour in central MD area)
My wife saw something on Instagram that said the hail could be 2" or LARGER! hopefully that will not be the case.

    Good luck everyone. Stay safe.

Looks to be a wolf in sheep's clothing?

I was planning on cutting my grass this morning before the noon storms. Guess I'll wait if the debris field will be widespread across my yards.

Park your car(s) under cover, secure your lawn furniture, umbrellas and cushions…..looks like it could be a bad one.
I know of a free parking garage about a mile away from me. Think I'll head that way mid afternoon if this forecasted monster hail materializes.

Or... I do have sheets of plywood. Probably could cushion them with towels and then lay one of the roof of the cab, and one over the hood and windshield. Strap 'em down.

Well 2" hail and my garden, roof and green house will be done for and that's just for starters. I'd miss the garden most as the rest I have insurance for.

I just don't see anything of the Doppler at the moment (west of, or over the Appalachians), that is indicating severe weather forming. Even with predicative looping, nothing ominous

Capital Weather Gang seems to be rating this a "meh." Chance of localized blow/hail, but only a moderate chance of severe weather across the region. Much lower as you get n/w of DC.

nothing on phone app, accuweather or radar. Even looks like the quick T-storms may not hit. But then again rush hour - will be just my luck

Just posted about this in severe weather thread in the WC. They are warning the NE to look out, but except for some decent rain in NJ, their maps aren't showing it. Or maybe I just don't understand their threat categories.

We're under a warning now. Cells trying to organize just past the Appalachians.
