Delaware passing their own Red Flag Law. As unfortunate as it is they at least appear to put some limitations, unlike Maryland.

Governor already signed it into law.

They likely have a checklist that they work though (in fact, if one visits the Marylanders to prevent gun violence web page, you can find one such checklist).
The scary thing is that they're running out of things to do in MD, so will likely turn their attention to the most restrictive legislative goals next ...
-mag possession bans
-background checks on ammo purchases
-no in state long gun sales without an FFL
-a complete semiautomatic firearm ban
Again with no hard data that additional restrictions of a Constitutional right results in a significant benefit to the public at large (and no analysis if it harms the public at large).
Not like they've seriously analyzed effects on crime in MD following the 2013 restrictions and bans either.

Except if it's an everyday occurrence in B'More, where the 2017 death toll from criminal gun violence exceeded the total number of the past ten or more mass murders which have been prominently and emotionally plastered in the national headlines. All it would take to trigger the next level of gun grabbing here and elsewhere is another massacre at a school or church.
Email from Colorado's NRA-ILA:
The Colorado House is controlled by Ds and the Senate by Rs. This was expected. It will probably pass the house and fail in the senate.
I have an honest line of questions.
Does the state qualify as "any other interested person?"
If the state qualifies as "any other interested person," does this mean that if you seek help for suicidal thoughts, the police will now raid and destroy your home?
Does this mean that the state can start setting "rules" such as always raiding the homes of people with PTSD, domestic issues, depression, or other problems?
Does this mean that people will have to be forced to choose between 2nd Amendment protection or 4th Amendment protection, because they're not allowed to have both?
It would have done it just now but I didn’t hit the submit button again
The whole "any interested person" thing didn't end up in the law that actually got signed, so don't worry about that part.
As far as the whole mental health / PTSD question, that's out there even without this law. There are plenty of people out there who are scared to seek help for fear of losing their 2nd Amendment rights over it.
