    Hey all,
the official word is Hap Baker will be closed this weekend ( fri., sat. & sun.) way too much snow for blowers and shovels. have access to several loaders but can't get them until monday. The snow is 3 foot + deep all the way out to 200 yrds plus there is 1 1/2 foot of snow inside the rifle range. 25 yd. targets are completely buried. so looks like one more weekend without the range. Sorry everyone.
should have it ready for the next weekend.
    Thanks, Bill

P.S. please don't shoot the messenger

No problem here Bill. This wasn't a normal kind of storm. Just more time to reload ammo. Plus I'll be shooting at the Frostbite shoot in Delmarva saturday.

Thanks for the update. As a shooter I'm disappointed, but as a TAXPAYER I say let the snow melt as mother nature intended, our county has more important things it needs the money for right now.

I was planning to skip work to shoot at Hap Baker today. Too bad, but I'm sure we all know that Mother Nature loves cruel jokes at times.

Bill, thanks for keeping us informed. Hope to see you again soon.

I sort of agree although the range is the only rec and parks program that is/was fully self supporting.

    hEY EVERYONE,
Hap baker will be open this weekend (fri., sat., sun.)
Got a path cleared out to 200yds. Only problem is there will be no 25yrd. shooting. Target stands are still buried and there is nowhere to put the snow without blocking other targets. But 50yds on out is clear. Pistol range should be good to go also.
    thanks, Bill

    bawlmer, hon!
I went up today around 4, and had some fun. The road was fine, and as mentioned, 50-200 was clear. Had the firing line to myself.

I imagine it will be pretty busy this weekend.
