Hey guys, I wondering what you load for h335 in .223 with a 55gr fmjbt. I did some tests but only at 25 yards so it's hard to tell and I was getting same hole groupings with 10 rounds at 22.8gr. I searched the internet and everyone is using around 25gr and I don't know if I'm not really going to see a difference at 25 yards or if it REALLY depends on the rifle. I'm in Harford county and I'm trying to find a 100 yd range near by but the closest I see is the north east state park range. I'd really prefer it to be public.

What we're cooking up for our rifles won't necessarily work in your rifle.

Too many variables. That said, I use 23 grains of H335 with a 65 grain bullet. So you do have some room to play.

If you're able to put ten shots into one hole at 25 yards, then your recipe is working. Well!

If you really want to mess with it, bump it up .5 grains at a time until that one hole group opens up. Then go back down .5 grains and leave it alone.

    Good luck with it.

25g of H335 with a 55gr FMJ is a pretty well used load based on my research a few years ago.
I worked up a range of 23-25.2gr and the 25.0 load actually did the best out of my 16" Delton HBAR with the inexpensive X-treme bullets.
25gr also compared pretty close to most of the factory ammo I chrono'd POI was within an inch or two of factory at 100yds also
It also did well with the Nosler varmegeddon plastic tip.
So that's the load I use.

24.0 gr of 335 with pretty much any 55 gr bullet is a good load. With a Varmageddon it's very good. My best-shooting gun uses 24.5 gr with a 60 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint.

25.1gr to 25.3gr of H335 with bulk 55gr FMJ-BT were a winner in all of my 16" AR's. I never really went for groups with bulk 55gr, but they all were under minute of golf-ball at 105 yards, consistently.

Although with my powder drop, I was expecting a .2 variation when rolling out bulk rounds on the progressive press. Little old Lee Pro-1000.
