I think if the amount of other bills introduced IE HR 127, we have a better chance of having everything including BB guns being added to the NFA let alone getting something taken off.

It's the perennial Charlie Brown football, they push it every time the Republicans have no chance of passing it, and do nothing when it could pass on a party line vote.

That bill has never been presented when a party line vote would work. You need 60 seats in the senate.

Why would you need 60 seats?? I thought a bill passes on simple majority,,, Hell it looks like Trump could have done an executive order,, from what what I am seeing now.

With less than 60 seats, the opposition can block the bill. Chuck Schumer has had that power for years, whether or not in the majority. Harry Reid had it before him. Even when we have the majority, they can kill any bill that doesn't have 60 votes to overcome the filibuster.

Couldn’t with an EO. Suppressors don’t fall under NFA because of a regulation. They are there because they are enumerate in law. So it would take a low to remove them.

If it passes, it is because it is part of something else some middle of the road GOPer adds to something like a universal background check law.

Probably not, but I bet they could pass a requirement to make all ammo sold to civilians subsonic! That'd be quieter, right?

Unlikely. They'd have to cite legislative powers granted to regulate something like that.

I am not aware of any law that would come close to allowing the ATF to regulate ammunition in such a way. The ban on handgun AP ammo wouldn't do that (as it is concerned with the composition of the bullet itself and not with actual penetrating ability or velocity).
