One fact makes me feel much better... 270 million privately owned firearms in the US
3 million owned by the military
1.1 million owned by the police

That's the kind of balance that the founding fathers had in mind.

Agree - need to be leery. But another lesson is how you can draw really wacky conclusions from good data by careful selection and distortion of the whole picture.
