We shall see. This is one of those things that come up over and over.

If he does sign it, he's risking a lot. Gun ownership is through the roof, and Constitutionally only the Senate can approve treaties.

He'll sign it. And it will hang over us like a dark cloud for months or years until the right set of circumstances comes together for them to get the 2/3rd's to pass it.

I'm very surprised he will sign it before the election.

Could give Romney an interesting opportunity to reach out to gun owners.

Possible. I see it's all around the internet now. I'm going to wait and see if NRA/GOA/SAF say anything.

Don't bet on it......the American Sheeple will roll over when push comes to shove.

I dont know gun rights is one of the things a lot of people feel very strongly about in this country. I cant speak for all military but I know the people in my old unit would not obey such an unlawfull order as to disarm citizens especially since most of them are gun owners themselves.

They have to have a treaty to start with. AT this point all they have is a committee to create one. They met starting on the 2nd in an attempt to negotiate one between all the member nations. The meeting they had just to set up this conference almost fell apart due to infighting so there is no guarantee that there will even be a treaty at this rate. Secondly, even if they do hammer out a treaty and even if Obama signs it, 67 Senators have to sign it for it to be ratified and become binding to US companies trying to sell firearms abroad (would not affect companies inside the US selling to US citizens). There is no way that you will get that many Senators to sign something like that in an election year. Also, as soon as a new President is sworn in, they can retract the signature of Barry and the process goes back to square one.

What???? For over a year I've been getting two or three junk mails a month from the NRA, all using the sky-is-falling-UN-treaty as a request for money. Their monthly rags usually dedicate a couple of pages fear mongering it as well. It must be one of their best money generators in the last decade.

The more they swing this boogy man around, the more numb I become to it.

    This one worries me.
What dose Obama need to get reelected?

    1. Some subject that doesn’t include the dept crises.
    2. Something that doesn’t include the unemployment numbers.
    3. Something without "Fast & Faeroes" involvement.

Signing, (Executive Order,) the U.N. Gun Control Treaty has it all for him!

And these treaties have more in them than just giving the UN gun control. If obamy does sign it, it won't be the first time he's thrown the Constitution aside. I hope to hell we get rid of this idiot in November.

Obama needs a good dose of something, just not sure of what.

Fast and Faeroes? Is that Celtic?

I didn't realize they had wrote a song about it already!
