The great gun-control DIDN'T fizzle ... it's still a slow burn.

Obama and the gun-grabbers didn't expect to pass ANYTHING nationally, but they did push EVERYTHING as air cover for states that are passing even more draconian gun-control laws, with CT and MD being the latest. It's just another variation on divide and conquer, with promises being made in the backroom deals at state level that no doubt have been bought and paid for with Federal largess or shadowy sources. 'Spreading the wealth' so to speak makes it many times harder for pro-2A organizations to fight on multiple fronts.
