Shot four recently acquired handguns today: Ruger Mark III target, Ruger Vaquero 357M, Taurus 1911 45 ACP and Smith and Wesson 625JM 45 ACP.

All four guns performed well - only 50 rounds through each ( I shout only five rounds at a time). Checked spent brass - all handguns showed center primer hits.

I was surprised by the S&W625 - very easy to shoot and very accurate - kept up easily with the 1911. Would make a good beside gun - but I'll probably stick with my Glock 22. I became more accurate with it when I tried gripping it as high as possible, with my wrist slightly tilted down.

Taurus 1911 ran flawless/good groupings - really spit out the shell casings a long ways to the side.

I shot the Vaquero less accurate than any of the others - maybe because I only shot 38 specials, maybe it is just me and or maybe because I couldn't get comfortable with the grip. My shots were all over the place - couldn't group the five shots near each other - no problem with the other three guns.

Vaquero was purchased used - don't know how many rounds - but suspect allot, since it is several years old.

Nice thing about the revolvers - easy brass recovery:D Bad thing about revolvers - man they are filthy.

The best thing though, they don't jam!

When you clean the Vaquero, measure the mouths on the cylinder with a caliper. Some of them may be off, it's been known to happen.

And next time you shoot it, use one hand, not two.
