Good AK Gunsmith?

I sent out my form 1 to have my M92 sbr'd and have been debating what route I want to go. I think I want to replace the trunion for a traditional side folder. Are there any good gunsmiths anyone can recommend that could do this?

John at Duffy's could do that with his eyes closed. Has built pretty much every
AK variant available including building micro galils. Definitely the goto guy for AKs around here.

Then I can ceracoat it for you when he's done with it.

John is one of the best smith locally and one of the best AK smiths I have ever seen the work of I have work from all the big name AK builders and his work is right on par if not better

You're right here in AA County. Give Scott's Gunsmithing in Glen Burnie
a call 410-761-9815. Scotty is a good generalist and sells M92s and M85s as well as working on them. Larry can help you with Class III questions.

Edit call tues- Friday 10-5:30 or Sat 9-4:30 (store hours actually go 1/2 hr later, but there's usually a rush at the last minute to put away guns, fax any remaining paperword, etc)

John at Duffy's has built 3 AKs for me....all of them are top notch builds. Turnaround time was very reasonable too. I'm going to have him build my last kit as soon as I decide what way I'm going with it. Definitely recommend his work.
