I am looking at ways to make my AR9, not so much gentle, but less jumpy and able to stay on target (more for fun than anything else). Some guy (his Blog at blowback9.wordpress.com) came up with this recipe for an AR9 that is supposed to stay on target better (so he claims) than a common AR9 configuration. Below is a third party review on You Tube.

Summary: The configuration is a Kynshot hydraulic buffer (either standard or heavy damped model), two Kynshot weights, a standard M4 carbine spring, and a Just Right Carbine extra-long buffer tube to accommodate the two weights.

I have a Just Right buffer tube sitting around that I was going to use to meet Maryland 29" OAL for an SBR build, but I did a pin and weld instead. So I might try this just for fun.

    Curious what you guys think.

I really wish Rugged made a 9mm brake that would fit the Obsidian.
Griffin makes front end stuff for the obsidian. I put an EZ-LOK adapter on my Banshee so I can use the Obsidian 9 without it vibrating off. The small EZ-LOK brake doesn't look like much but it works. I even have one on my P365 as it lessens the flip.

Alrighty then, got all the parts together, so it's just a matter of how motivated I am to go to the range in the cold to try it out. You can see just how long that Just Right buffer tube is. The stock is all the way in.

    RANGE REPORT.

Took the 9mm PCC to the range and it is definitely a gentle shooter. It works. The only thing I am not sure about is the added overall length (1.5") due to the extended buffer tube. Definitely a pussycat to shoot.
