The Maryland General Assembly today introduced emergency legislation to ban Garrett, Allegany, and Washington Counties from being a part of the Maryland geography since their inclusion in the Maryland geographic model makes Maryland look strikingly similar to a handgun pointed towards Maryland's western neighbors. The overwhelmingly democratic house of delegates and senate believe that by making Maryland look less like a handgun, it will reduce gun violence across the State. This emergency measure was introduced when one democratic house member was trying to find a place called Garrett County and learned it was not part of Baltimore City or Prince George's County and realized there are actually counties in Maryland that expand beyond Baltimore City and Prince George's County, making Maryland look "very similar to and scary like the evil handguns this State has worked so diligently to abolish." It is expected that experts on geographic handgun topography will testify that by eliminating these counties and making Maryland a more blob-like geographic model, gun violence will be reduced exponentially throughout the state.
