Any Halo owners? How do you like them? I like the attachment system, much more convenient than my SDN-6.

I came real close to getting one a while back but did not. I got a 30 cal specwar instead. I too was intrigued by the A2 attachment.

If you can get it cheap, go for it. As long as you shim or peel washer to time the muzzle device, you can use cheap a2 mounts. Just buy shims- peel washers are irritating.

I have a G5, which uses the same baffle stack as the Halo. It is as quiet as any other similar length can on the market, but uses a smaller roll pinned inconel insert for the blast baffle than most other makers. It has not been a problem for me with more than 6k rounds on the can, most with an sbr.

Gemtech also does not make as tough a suppressor as far as outer construction goes as others on the market. The welds are smaller and do not go all the way around the end caps. They may have changed their methods since mine was built, but I have compared it to Surefire and AAC cans- nowhere near the same. For example the front cap is only welded across 25% of the circumference, and it is the tiniest laser weld I have ever seen. I shot my G5 off the gun once as it was stuck from carbon and it knocked the front cap off alignment. It does not baffle strike but you can see that it is slightly off. A friend shot his surefire can off because it was stuch, and it looked fine other than the coating being scratched.

It's a six month wait and a $200 stamp. You will take a bath if you sell whatever you buy. I'd get the best product you can afford. I got my G5 used for $200 with a mount. That's the only reason I have a Gemtech can.

    I hope this helps.

Take a look and the Griffin M4sd-II if you get a chance. Bit more robust and uses A2 hiders as well, just be sure to replace the crush washers with shims. We have one if you want to take a look at it.

Would you PM me a price on this and a Kel Tec PMR 30 if you have one? Might as well kill 2 birds if I'm making that drive. Thanks
