I have a silencerco Octane 9 pending approval and am doing research on the best 9mm pistol caliber carbine for me. After shooting an HK SP5, Sig MPX and CZ Scorpion (all unsuppressed) I came away thinking the MPX was my choice.
I see a lot of talk online and a few YouTube videos about the MPX throwing gas directly into the eyes of the shooter when suppressed. I imagine a higher backpressure suppressor like the Octane 9 I purchased would make this issue worse. That along with the fact that covid panic buying has driven their price up $700 has me leaning towards the CZ Scorpion. I have seen people on YouTube shooting the Scorpion suppressed with the Octane 9 not even wearing eye or ear pro.
Does anyone have first hand experience with shooting the MPX suppressed? If you have gas issues were you able to resolve them?
