I just got my replacement reeds in from Hunters Specialties for my Hammerin' Crow Call I've had for ever and decade. I have never seen any mention on this forum about game calls or anything related to them in the way of building or parts.

So, I have to ask if anyone out here makes game calls or knows about cutting reeds. I'm curious as to the type(s) of Mylar used and the mil's of such reeds.

Any inside would be great. I'd love to know more about building calls and replacement parts. I have no intentions of ever replacing my HS Hammerin' Crow call after comparing it to many others out there, but, I would love to find a reed maker.

I can wear out a new reed in this call in about 5-6 hunts. Here's a picture of one of the reeds I just got in the mail from H.S. This is a 5/8" x 2-3/4" reed with the adjustment notches.
