Based in Rovckville, I usually shoot some full auto at Machine Gun Nest. Happened to be in Frederick today, around high noon, and place was overrun. Line out the door, at least 30 people queued up into the parking lot. Cars strewn about everywhere. Apparently, they’ve gotten some inventory in over the last week, and the word is out. Anyway, wondering where else that is not insane commute from Rockville works for full auto? Any ideas welcome.

PS. Don’t know if Gilberts allows full auto, but they are not an option for varied and numerous reasons.

AGC allows full auto at the MD-TCA club shoots. We have 2 of them a month. They are primarily on the 50 or 100 yard ranges. And one or two a year on the 200 yard range.

Kind of a waste unless you are using something like a M1919, MG42 or M60. Even then, shooting paper with a F/A is kind of a non starter. I used to enjoy blowing up 5 gallon jugs of water, pumpkins, gas cans (using tracer) and they odd refrigerator or washer machine. :party29:

We had some heavy hitters there, not just one :)

I figured lol. I shot the Falling Steel match in the morning and then took a first time gun owner friend of mine to the 100 yd range for some basic pistol work. Sounded awesome over there

So, we did have a 1919A4 and MG42 there. And not shooting paper, but rather empty jugs staked to the berm.

In November we'll have our annual pumpkin shoot.

Is this a rain or shine event? A friend is trying to get me up there tomorrow and watching this might be the clincher for me even if the weather sucks.

Nominally rain or shine, but in reality it's up to the TCA RSO when to call it a day. This will be on the pistol range.

I was there yesterday, we had a few people stop bye. I was mainly shooting pistols and the Chauchat. It was a nice day even if it started raining.

Ooooh, I may have to show up for that. Guy that did my prescription glasses has several MG’s and participated in the shoots
