Air Police? As in USAF security forces? If so no it won't work under leosa.
I still want to know what "air police" are. USAF? FAA? Air marshals? Local LEO looking up in the sky and saying "I can police that too!"?
I'm assuming he is referring to the Air Force. I was in the af for three years before I joined the army and I was security forces. We always said air cops...
USAF Air Police were the USAF law enforcement officers before Security Police and now Security Forces. Vietnam Nam time frame.
ding,ding we have a winner. I was asking about my father. He was only in for 4 years.
APES because we didn't have that high of regard for them at Andrews. Ate up bunch in the 70's & 80's.
Then the answer is no regardless has to be a min of 10 years
Sorry to burst your bubble but it does work as of 2013. Go to www.leosaonline.com. it works for anyone that did 10 years or more or are now in USAF Security Forces. Active, Guard,Retired.
In the current situation are all of the Security Forces equal , or are there specific individuals designated as Law Enforcement Agents (1980s terminology, may have changed) .
That's not completely correct. 18USC926c(3) says:
(A) before such separation, served as a law enforcement officer for an aggregate of 10 years or more; or
(B) separated from service with such agency, after completing any applicable probationary period of such service, due to a service-connected disability, as determined by such agency;
Yes and now putting up with all the crap we did has now paid off by us being able to carry just about anyplace now. Gotta love leosa!
