Fishing spots

Where are some good fishing spots near Frederick? I'm looking to go out tomorrow.

Your not far from the Potomac river. This time of year the water is low enough in many spots you can wade. Brunswick, point of rocks, mouth of monocacy rd all offer access.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was trying to find something others than the Potomac and monocacy. Maybe somewhere I haven't been.

True. Just wanted to try somewhere different. My BIL has been trying a bunch of different spots on the Potomac and Monocacy.

You could try piney run reservoir in Sykesville. You can rent boats there or fish from shore. This time of year main lake points and the riprap at the dam usually produce. Have you guys not been having much luck on Potomac? I ask because for me its one of the best freshwater fisheries in the state.

I forget the name of the street, but it's the last left turn you can make off of 340 past Jefferson area. It's off the co canal. I've caught great small mouth bass and large cats at night. Keep the bluegills cut'em up and use them as catfish bait at night. Guaranteed catch.
