Lx1x.. I texted crazyal.... we may see his Tiger 1911...
    I'm bringing a Paraordnance P14/45 and a Kimber Custom.

I'm not too worried about you guys... I'm worried about the dude with the Hi-point 45/RDO set-up. :)

Would you say the texture is pretty aggressive?

Yes! If you have soft hand (you don't work with your hands for a living) They will bleed.. My hands are tough and they made me bleed in one spot, but I should have rubbed them down with some sand paper when I got them.. I like them more after putting many rounds down range. Just awesome product!

we need to practice drawing from a holster. then engaging targets at different ranges from 2- 25 yards with reloads.

    5 yards-Two rounds, center mass.....Up!
10 yards- two rounds, center mass....Up!

    or

10 yards.. Two to the chest, one on the head.....Up!

    Reload.

15 yards..Two to the chest, one on the head..Up!

Stuff like that beats.. just poking holes on paper.

lx1x is right, IDPA has a rule that says something about how most of your stages have to have 18 rounds or less. (3 x 6 for revolver guys)

If you are shooting a 1911 in 45 you are either in ESP or CDP. ESP you can have 10 rounds, CDP you can have 8 rounds. Either way you are only allowed to have two spare mags on your belt and one mag in the gun (with one in the pipe) so you can get by with 3 mags, you will just need to reload them between each stage.

Stainless or Black Melonite? How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

my reloading stuff for 45acp just came in.. :party29:
anybody got spare 45acp cases?!? :lol2:

Yep, Stainless. Not only will it be my first 1911, it'll also be my first stainless gun.

Both lx1x and myself paid about the same, +/- $25-$30.
