With Ann Arundel county recently un-banning tasers, let's see if we can get Howard County to follow. There are only 5 people on the council, if we flood them in emails and calls, maybe we can get some results. For maximum effect, I propose that we focus on one councilperson at a time. Ms. Watson in district 1 seems to be as good a place to start as any. Send her a quick email asking why tasers are illegal (that part is important), and explaining why they're good defensive tools. If you can personalize it a bit, even better. Maybe you were attacked once, maybe you're worried about your girlfriend while she's out jogging, etc. Stories are easy to remember, and create and emotional hook. cwatson@howardcountymd.gov <- And go!
