Firearm Training in Central MD

I have purchased my first firearm (Glock 19) and need some basic familiarization with the firearm. What do you guys recommend for this? I was planning on taking an NRA course...is this my best option in the area? Does anyone know anyone who may do any one-on-one training? I live in Eldersburg, close to the MD Associated Gun Club in Marriottsville.
