well my brother in law broke out his 30-06 to try a and poke a big hole in that orange bouncing target, but it his rifle wasn't sighted in for a range that close. And his buddy has a .17 that let a few rounds out of.

Ncstar mk iii 4x32 with quick detach and their adapter with a ncstar mini green dot.

Works well but the reticle seems a bit thick if that makes sense

Cool. I'm thinking of plinking. I'm undecided on what I want. That's why I looked at your post. Someone said in another post, not qouted, When the SHTF you should make sure you have plenty of ammo for small game and don't worry so much about stock piling defensive ammo. Made sense to me. If the SHTF I'm heading into the woods, hopefully on some high ground.

Probably wouldn't hurt to have a good .308 or 30-06 rifle for protection from larger critters as well. Of course on the AR 15 platform I could go for the .300 BLKOUT.

I'm getting to old to consider this kinda crap.... DAMMIT!!!

IMO its a good gun for plinking. and with .22 you can stockpile so much in such a small place...speaking of which i need to pick some more up for next time!

so i went with the trigger job for now.

Got some pics comparing the triggers. I suspect the safety problem has something to do with s&w milling the top of their triggers.

the s&w parts are on the right of each pic

Got it working! The only thing I had to do was file the safety down a little bit so it wouldnt block the trigger anymore. Everything works pretty good, hope to get some trigger time this weekend if the rain holds off
