Does SBR need barrel <16" to be MD legal?

    My understanding is yes you can, The BATFE requests you remove it from the registry first, but I don't think they can force you to do so.

    According to BATFE, yes.

    They do tell you to inform them of any permanent change in barrel length or status.

    And I would really want to tell the BATFE that it was no longer and SBR, and no longer in my possession. JUST IN CASE.

    Can you sell an SBR receiver with a 16" as a Title 1 weapon even if it is registered as an SBR? That is a better test than whether you can bring it across state lines in a non regulated configuration.

    Yep, let em know, and sell it. That's the beauty of being able to swap in and out of Title II for SBRs.
