In my spare time to keep my self sane from the stresses at my day Job I built my own concentricity gauge tool for reloading. The actual level gauge with the adjustable holder was $48 on amazon. A pack of 7x4x2.5 bearings was $9 and the rest of the hardware was scrap I have laying around or 3D printed parts I designed.

This build was inspired by the 21st century design which sells for about $330.

I’m heading to bed soon but I wanted to get some photos posted. I’ll share the design and 3D printed parts if anyone else wants to make one of these.

    Enjoy.

I know a couple of headcases but no good psychiatrists. Does that help?

And I know people who do private consults at pntc.

That is really cool!! I have a Sinclair one that is adequate, but have been thinking about the 21st Century one. Really cool design.

You're making some cool stuff for sure man, keep up the great work!

Thanks. I’m totally serious if you or anyone else wants the part list and the 3D printed files I’m totally willing to share with members.

By the way I have a question. I’m checking some reloads there were done with my press seater, not the wilson die. They seem to have anywhere between .004 to .009” runout. What would you consider normal? Second question. I marked the position on the case where the runout was the worst, and then gently pressed the projectile with my thumb from that side. I was able to “bend” them all to be within .002 or less and some to be close to .001. Is that what people do when they have a round with a lot of runout? Just push it towards the center?

Nice tool (is that ok to say?). I'd love to check some factory FGGM rounds to see how they fare.

Made a few minor improvements to version 2.0. Added a double roller wheel with ball bearings and a small spring to hold the case tight against the lower rollers.

    It works flawlessly it seems.

I used my 6.5 Creedmoor chamber GO Gauge to see how accurate the device can measure and it’s measuring within .0005”. Not bad for about $45 in parts.
