Currently don't have powder or bullets so I decided to get to know my equipment a little tonight. I had a bunch of cleaned brass and decapped and set primers. I like how the press operators (lee turrett) and when I was done right I might have a problem of others being used but not seaLed. Am I screwed?

As long as you prepped the cases properly(sized, trimmed, deburred, etc.) put them in storage that's somewhat dry and they'll be ready to load when you are. There's no difference between priming now or later as long as the primed cases are stored as you would normally store your primers.

Those primers are pretty resilient. I just found couple of hundred pieces of primed 45ACP brass that were sitting in an open cardboard box in an open carport for years. They were pieces that had high primers and got pulled or some other problem with the round. They were there for at least a couple of years. I reseated the high ones and decapped the ones from wrecked brass or which were upside down (wearing my eyes and ears), I then loaded them up.
They all went bang except for 2 which were probably seated too deep.
A closed sandwich or freezer bag would probably do you fine.

You can buy brass already primed from most reloading outfits. Those primed cases probably sit for months or years before being bought/reloaded.

I just shot through a 1000 primers that had got put in my crawl space 7 years ago...not one problem after sitting there in the original box all that time.
Store them in a freezer bag or Tupperware container and you're good for years

Yes sir you should be just fine. I have some 30-06 and 270 brass that I processed and primed at least 16 months ago and it is has been setting in the ammo boxes since then. I reloaded 50 of each for a buddy of mine and all 100 rounds fired without issue this past weekend.

I prepare hundreds of cases for 8mm, 7.62x54 and others and leave them primed, ready to load. Then when I need some, I load them up. Some of them have been sitting that way for years. No Problem. ;)

Look at how they are shipped.

Plastic tray with open top and a cardboard sleeve.

I have used primers that are more than 20 years old. They work fine.

You can always smack one of them primers with a hammer and see if it goes pow. I don't know that it has a very high entertainment or practicality value, but, it is fun just once. :sad20:
