Dealers that will transfer handguns t Maryland C&R holders

Hi all, I'm pretty new here and I think this is a great site with tons of info. I saw a suggestion a little earlier that we come up with a list of dealers that will sell handguns to C&R holders in Maryland. I am asking everyone that has experience with this to reply with information so that I can make a list that can be placed in a permanent place on this site for all of us to reference. Unfortunately I haven't gotten mine yet, so I can't contribute now, but I think this could be VERY helpful for all of us who want to make the most of having a C&R license.

I thought SOG doesn't sell C&R handguns directly to MD C&R. Had anyone actually been able to buy from them?

Somoss, Thanks for the reply!! I've been away for a while, and haven't had a chance to respond. I am sending my C&R paper work out this week. Hopefully I'll be able to start sending out licenses out soon! After I get my license and start contacting dealers and wholesalers, I am going to compile a list and stick it here.

SOG does sell C&R handguns to MD. AIM will not honor MD C&R. Also most all sellers on gunbroker.com and auction arms sell to MD C&R. What I find annoying about SOG is that they do not sell all C&R eligible C&R handguns to 03 license holders, only the ones they deem C&R. I have seen some very nice guns that other dealers will sell to C&R holders that SOG will only sell to 01 holders. This makes no sense to me at all. Also make sure you get the MD collector designation from MSP as this will cover your backside in case of problems.

It may also help to establish you as a "bona fide collector" as per the trasnporting a handgun part of the law. I would say a C&R FFL would be the same.

(5) the moving by a bona fide gun collector of part or all of the collector's gun collection from place to place for public or private exhibition if each handgun is unloaded and carried in an enclosed case or an enclosed holster;
