Do any of your remember the $hit show in NYC where some thugs on motorcycles were doing their biker boyz thing on the highway? Got into a confrontation with a family in a Range Rover and threatened the family in the SUV. The driver fled from the scene running over one of the thugs. The dirtbags cornered the family off the highway, pulled the driver out of the car, and started to beat the crap out of him. They also tried to go after the wife while their kid was in the back seat. There were all the usual outcries about how these upstanding biker citizens were peacefully riding on the highway and how the guy that got ran over was a model community citizen. A bunch of outrage from the usual hood rats and then a Go Fund Me was started for the former hood ornament.

Because of all the optics, Alexian was let go from his job even though he was not charged at all for the incident.

Even well-trained people can make inexplicably poor decisions in the moment of an incident. In this case, the ballistics report will tell us how close the shooter was based on bullet path and if those shots were in the front/back. It will all come out eventually, but the CPR is a twist that makes it hard to get a read on what exactly happened.

Exactly.
It would be nice if the insurance companies would get together and send bills to these so called "parents" and "grandparents" charging them every last penny of the damages their "little angel(s)" are responsible for. If they choose to crawl out from under that rock and expose their greedy selves then they should pay. The purpose of insurance is to cover the losses of the insured as the result of criminal activity, not to be used as an excuse to enable that activity.

Or these teenage church angels that wanted to "borrow" this man's car who was using it to make a living. With this situation, unfortunately, the driver lost his life.

Just sucks as, if there are no criminal charges filed, I'm sure the so called family is going to file a civil suit for monetary damages.
