    How much would it cost to get one of those and have it installed? I've been looking at putting a red dot on my vz 2008.

    for a red dot, a bonesteel upper handguard with a rail works well. That is what I used and it has held zero amazingly well.

    For scopes with less eye relief, you will need the side rail. The top cover rails don't work and tend to batter the optics, especially the magnetically attached ones. The czechpoints sometimes come with the rail and receiver already tapped for the mount, otherwise you will have to do it yourself
