I wouldn't mind adding an 85 Combat to the collection but its never been a terribly popular model with anyone except southpaws and those who would like a fully adjustable rear sight. Darn nice pistol, though. The stainless 75B's also have ambidextrous safeties.

I posted my CZ85 Combat to the Handgun section before this thread was born. It's my "poor man's" competition gun, for IDPA.

Yes, it has adjustable rear sight and ambi safety, but also mags drop free and there's no firing pin block to impeded the trigger.

That's....beautiful. You really need to post that pic in this thread!

I got to fondle a CZ 75 SAO this weekend. Love the trigger. If it's still there when I get home next week, I may have to dip-into the Shadow Target II piggy bank? Or not! I have my heart set on that 75 ST II and if I can resist temptation, I'll pick it up in November.

That is one fine looking two-tone 85! What is its build date if you don't mind me asking? I know it has been awhile since CZ offered that particular model.

Didn't the CZ 85 start out in life as just a CZ 75 with ambidextrous safeties? I remember seeing one at a gun show during the early-to-mid 90's and could've bought it for $340 brand-new. I'm sorry now that I didn't. It had a glossy blue finish, pre-B style trigger guard and came in a fugly green-turquoise box.

    Blaster229 Signature Edition Green P-01. Mine. Muah-hahahhahahaha!!!
Lol, that's better than Blaster's picture of it. Background and lighting help. Love that green. Same shade as the little Army men many of us grew up.

Pulled a pic from an old thread. My plain-Jane CZ75 Compact in .40 bought when I lived in VA. Would have preferred a 9mm, but a guy at work wanted to sell her at a decent price. Still may consider switching out with a 9mm slide and barrel if I can find it. CZ's not big on selling parts.

That one's a keeper! I've never seen a CZ 75 Compact with a rail and a manual thumb safety in .40 S&W. Very cool!
