    Are form 1s going faster?
Faster than Form 4s it seems, but I'm not sure about trend regarding other Form 1s.
    Reddit.com/r/NFA said:
Form 1: Wait times are as low as 75 days, with the average being closer to 90-120.

Form 4: Low end is just at or below 180 days (6 months), but the average is closer to 7 months. If anything, wait times are creeping up very very slightly.

My Form 4 Individual check was cashed on 2/17. I hope I hear something soon.

Update, I called the ATF today 9/7/18, and they said my application was approved on August 27th.

Guess I gotta call my dealer. :sad20:

How long does it generally take between MSP and ATF to get a form 1 approved? Considering doing a 14" 870

MSP just gets notified, so no wait there. it's 6 to 8 months for the ATF (form 4) to approve. Individual seems to faster than trusts. I had 2 come back in the 6+ month time frame recently.

If you call, you will be told 7 months no matter how it was filed.

Speaking of trusts's, anyone get one back recently? what was your time frame?

I'd be building the 870 from one I already have so isnt that just a form 1? No trust

Yes it is a Form 1. Some folks are saying they are faster. It is the same process so I don't know. I would still plan on 6 months. Someone posted a couple pages back a Reddit quote for F1's going in 120 days. Until I see proof, I don't believe it. My F1's (SBR) from a couple years ago were still at 6 months. Hopefully I am wrong.

Make sure it will meet the min OAL requirement of 29".

Form 4 individual check cashed 2/23/2018. Got the call 9/7/2018.

    Thanks Gym Ratz!
Looks like I need to call NFA branch and see if mine has been approved as well. If I have to request a certified copy of my Form 4, that would make my ratio of Form 4 stamps lost in mail to Form 4 stamps overall 2/8, or 1/4. So USPS is losing 25% of them . . .

I had 2 checks cashed on that day and only one came back. Go figure.

Form 1 back for SBR. Submitted 4/20/18>Approved 8/16/18>In hand 8/30/18.

Not sure the delay getting mailed compared to Form 1 silencer from same date, but also feeling very fortunate for times on both.

You do realize that you, Sir, are a lucky bastard.

Got the email today: my final Maryland residency Tax Stamp just came back. One less thing to worry about as we are slowly packing the house up.

Newbie to suppressors, sorry for the DA question
    Question:
    On silencer shop website -
after my silencer info - is "Form 4: Signatures Complete"

Does that mean that the check was sent to ATF?
If not, how do you know your check was sent?

    Thanks
